"De sagittarius a, een zwart gat dat 4 miljoen keer zo zwaar is als de zon. Met zijn onvoorstelbare zwaartekracht zuigt het ijle gaswolken en complete sterren op. Die verdwijnen voorgoed van het kosmisch toneel, want wat eenmaal over de rand van een zwart gat valt, komt er nooit meer uit tevoorschijn."
For this performance DI U&A was inspired by Museum Sonnenborgh as a starwatch and different texts of Stephen Hawking about time, space and the universe. The dancers move like planets across the space.

EUTOPIA is a communal dance performance on how we wish to relate to nature and eachother while living in the city. With more then 20 dancers with a variety of performance experience, EUTOPIA is created on the site; a piece of Wasteland in the middle of the city.
The process of the creation is a vital part of the outcome: the research is on how we engage together in order to create a sustainable community. From this short research movement qualities emerged such as: circular and spiral movement pattern, flocking, ensemble, individuality within an ensemble, movement from the spine.
EUTOPIA can be adapted on any non-cultivated piece of land. This performance can be performed and recreated with 20 people and more (local) dancers.

Filmmaker Jacky Sawatzky: "Instinct in Prison was a deeply moving site-specific dance performance by Iris van Peppen, performed during Utrecht Down Under, June 2015 (in the Netherlands).
For the documentation I filmed two takes, one indoors_the audience's point of view, and outside to get some supporting close-ups of the movement. As this was part of a festival there was no time to film another take from the indoors. In the editing one of the key consideration was to leave the powerful soundtrack by Marc Nukoop intact. So with little material to work with I tried to translate onto video the emotional complexity of the work, while maintaining its integrity.
With documenting site-specific dance I want to beyond a registration of the work and aim to make a translation onto video. To achieve this I use the camera as instrument of touch other than a tool for registration. In this process I aim to keep the integrity of the piece, though the resulting video will always be subjective."
